Trying to find Flinn

Kerry Report 19 Jun 2007 08:53

Thomas Flinn arrived in Australia on board 'Parmelia 2' on 2.3.1834 as a convict. He was sentenced to 'life' for his one and only offence - stealing money. He received his pardon on 31.12.1847. In 1841 he married Julia Walsh (d. of Richard Walsh/Mary Cantwell. She came as a 'free' passenger on the 'Minerva 2' arriving in Australia 26.12.1839. In the 1841 muster Julia was living at 'Razor Park', Camden, NSW. Thomas & Julia had 16 children. I have considerable information on this family in Australia, but precious little about their lives in Ireland. Julia came from Co. Wicklow, Ireland, and Thomas from Waterford, Co. Cork, Ireland. Any info would be gratefully received and shared if desired. Thankyou. Kerry Payne
