Only records I can find for him are 1891 & 1901 census Married 1 Sarah Ann Whittington in Birmingham UK in 1872 Children... Elizabeth Phillips c1876 Stockton on Tees or Birmingham Lavinia Phillips 1883 Birmingham - my grandma Florence Phillips c 1879 Stockton on Tees or Birmingham Lilian Phillips c1885 Birmingham Charlotte Phillips c 1874 Birmingham Alice Phillips c1878 Birmingham Married 2 Harriet Richards or Roberts In Birmingham in1896 Children Elsie Phillips C 1897 Birmingham Samuel Phillips c1900 Birmingham Doris Phillips c1896 Birmingham Edith Phillips c 1898 Birmingham Can anyone help with 1861 & 1871 &1881 census or biirth record or his parents?? His marriage cert gives his father as a 'gentleman' also called Samuel Phillips. My Grandma Lavinia always claimed she was related to the Lord Mayor of London. Not sure if this was Samuel Benjamin Phillips or his son Sir George Faudel-Phillips (But more likely Dick Whittington!!!) Any information would be a help. Thanks
