SUSAN PORTER born c 1850 Lambeth. I am searching the birth of my wife's gt.grandmother Susan Porter. She married my gt grandfather Thomas William Goldsmith in November 1870 in St.John's Church Walworth, and stated she was 20 years old and that her father was John Porter a carpenter. One of the witnesses on the certificate was Joseph Henry Porter and I found his wedding in 1868 and Susan is a witness on this certificate but he states his father is Henry also a carpenter. Unable to find either their births or either of them on the 1851 and 1861 census. Any help would be appreciated. John Bostridge |
