Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 3 Send Message	Hello, I am trying to trace my Grandfathers family. His name is Reuben Stephens (Ben) and he was born in Wigan in 1914 to Isabella Stephens who was unmarried at the time. He lived with his Grandparents on his mothers side. Isabella married Frank Hayes(b. circa 1897) in 1918 and they had 4 children - Ken (b. circa 1920), Dorothy (b.1923), Elsie (b.1925) and Florie (b.1930). My Grandfather continued to live with his grandparents, but use to visit his Mum and brother and sisters. He moved to London on his own when he was around 20 and met and married my Nan, Kathleen. They had a son Ken (my Dad) and a daughter Pamela. From what I can gather from my Grandad, he hasn't seen his family since he left Wigan all those years ago and my Dad has never met them. Any info would be gratefully received, as although I have found my Grandad's sisters birth records and his Mum's marriage record I haven't got any further.
