Rowena Report 18 Jun 2007 05:24

Looking for info/contacts on my gt gt g'mthr Elizabeth SEYMOUR who m George ROWE at St Paul's Deptford 15 Oct 1828. They had 5 chn & lived in Greenwich. George was a Thames waterman. A Wendy CS answered my post on the Docklands Ancestors noticeboard, but I have been unable to make contact with her. She had a Will dated 1836 for Theophilus SEYMOUR naming one of his two daus as Elizabeth, wife of George ROWE. Theophilus was living in Lnd at the time but apparently came from Chatteris in Cambridgeshire, & the SEYMOUR family originally came from Nettlebed in OXON. Theophilus may have died C1838/9 & Elizabeth died some time in the 1840's but there must have been an inheritance as George & Elizabeth's 3 surviving chn were in private educational facilities in Kent by the 1851 census. Any further info greatfully rec'd.
