Trying to find Good

Looking for George Cowell Good, my grandfather. He was born 18 Sept 1881 and married Mildred Leah in 1902. George left home around 1928 and I believe was heard of in Ireland and 'up north' (maybe Leeds, Barnsley, Bradford...). He was a journeyman/carpenter and at one time worked for The Sycamore Company on a job in Bradford in 1927 (possibly 'Blackpool's'?). I think his digs were at 75 Kirkgate, Bradford. My guess is that's the area he went to when he left home, although his first stop was apparently in Holland Park. My notes: Nana Good had her husband 'reduced to the ranks' for reasons unknown or unoffered. Not sure when this happened, or whether linked to his running away with a woman to Holland Park, where some of his children 'visited' him after Nana had tracked him down after he had left her in or around November 1928. The 'woman' worked for Good Housekeeping Company. It seems he 'often' never came home. At the Holland Park 'visit' his oldest son asked at the door for 'George' and his father came down. They got physical. His son told him to send money to Nana to help with the younger children but it seems he never did. George later wrote to his son and asked him to take the youngest son to Liverpool Street Station so he could see his son. This was refused, and for some time afterwards the youngest was watched very closely lest his father should try to abduct him. It was felt that George Cowell Good 'went to pieces' after Kitty's tragic death in 1923 - he was very close to her, his first-born. Joiner friends of his oldest son reported finding a more sober George 'up north' in 1939 and it is believed he later went to the Isle of Man where there was a large Irish community.
