Looking for Beare family, Winkfield, Berkshire -my grandfather John Beare had 2 brother and one sister - Charles went to Jamaica and married a Jamaican and had one daughter, Edith remained a spinster and was a school teacher in Maidenhead, Thomas married but lived at home [1901 census]. Parents Thomas [born Aldershot, Hants.] and Elizabeth [born Stratton Oxon] John Beare married Ethel Halfacre in about 1909 & had 3 children - Joan died young, Gerald and John Brian, my father, both deceased. Lived in Holyport, Berkshire. John & Ethel died in 1940 [before I was born] and are buried at Touchen End Cemetery, Berks. |
