Beverley Report 16 Jun 2007 15:05

My 2nd great-grandparents, William (b abt 1837) and Sarah (b abt 1834) Billingham (nee Jones) were married at Langhorne' Creek, Strathalbyn, South Australia 15 March 1859. They had 3 children that I know of. William (my 3rd great-grandfather) was the 3rd (I think) child of Samuel (b abt 1811) and Hannah (b abt 1800) Billingham (Hannah's maiden name unknown) who married abt 1832. Elder son, Isaac (b abt 1834) married Elizabeth Carter (b abt 1825) on 30 April 1857 at Chain of Ponds, Adelaide, South Australia. Daughter, Sarah was born abt 1835. The family, Samuel and Hannah, with children Isaac, Sarah and William arrived at Port Adelaide on 16 July 1848 aboard 'Sibella' which had left England from London/Plymouth. Samuel, Hannah, Isaac, William and his wife, Sarah all died in Australia. Does anyone have any information about this family, especially where in England they came from.
