Hi there my name is Gillian Duncan and my maiden name is Farndell my father is Charles James Farndell born 1949 his father was called joseph Farndell and he was born in 1920 they were both born in stockport joseph had a number of brother and sisters that i cannot find he has pollie nellie william charles and mona im not sure wether a few of these names have been shortened but all i know is that there father was called charles farndell born around 1900 and i cant find him born in stockport he must have had a brother called henry as he is buried in france as he served in the war charles farndell he married a rose webster also my dad told me that the farndells come from portsmouth he did tell me that either nellie or pollie or mona returned to portsmouth in around the 40s or a little earlier or later any imformation i would be really grateful for as i dont really know that much from my grandfathers side thats a joseph farndell born 1920 only the information my dad told me so any help would be greatly appreciated |
