My grandfather, JAMES TUTTY was born in 1862 at a place called TULLOW CARLOW IRELAND.
I have discovered that he had, at least, two brothers who were twins born in TULLOW in 1857. the twins were called RICHARD and ROBERT.
In 1881 all three of them were in the ROYAL HORSE ARTILLARY stationed in EXETER.
Their father was also called RICHARD and he was a FARMER.
The younger Richard married SELINA URANIA BAKER in 1881 in EXETER. They appear to have had two children FREDERICK RICHARD 1882 and SELINA MARGARET 1886. Both born in STARCROSS , DEVON, ENGLAND.
ROBERT and RICHARD appear to have returned to Ireland at sometime before 1891 taking MAGARET SELINA with them. FREDERICK RICHARD and his mother stayed in England.
I have now seen and copied JAMES military attestation documents which says that he was born in TULLOW, CARLOW And that he had a younger brother called THOMAS. It also said that his next of kin was his mother MARGARET.

Anyone have any info? I am very interested in the Irish side of my family.
All the best in your quest.
Ian Tutty.
