(O) Callaghan of Portlaw and Carrick on Suir, Ireland Am trying to further existing information on my family prior to them living in the Portlaw area of Co.Waterford in the1860's. Of particular interest is whether the Michael Callaghan listed in Griffiths Valuation (1850) in the townland of Coolroe, is the father of John the bootmaker, trading in Portlaw from the late1860's. There may be links with the Callaghans in Carrick on suir, Tipperary, where I believe there were others who worked in the same bootmaking trades and I would be grateful for any help in establishing this. Family names: Michael b. ? (married ?) son: John b.1845 ( married Ellen Colclough) their children: Michael, John, Robert, Patrick, Richard Francis, Catherine,Margaret, Bridget, Hannah John - b. 1845
