My Birks came from S on T too.
Earliest, Samuel c.1800 who was a Farmer in the area. Married Ann Bagguley.

i am trying to research my 'birks' side of the family who all seem to originate from stoke on trent, who apart from my dad and his brother he has no knowledge with any living relatives. And does not recall many relatives. if any of these names ring a bell, please get in touch, Paul Birks 1967 Mark Birks 1965/66 Barbara Birks (maiden name Boden) 1948 Graham Birks 1946 i know that barbara parents were Tommy (or Thomas?) Boden 1925? and Elizabeth boden (maiden name brayford)1926? sister Ivy Grahams parents were Olive Birks (maiden name Shipley?) 1915? and Albert Birks 1914? i also know Graham had a few brothers and a few step siblings, of the brothers i know of there is John Birks (born Julian birks?) who was older and Barry Birks who was also older. if any one could help i would be very greatful as i have no relatives to ask for help
