Trying to find Pickett

WALTER - I am trying to discover descendants of Walter Pickett who fathered an illegitimate child. He may well have been married. He could have been in the forces? But his son was told he was a 'gentleman farmer', perhaps in Yorkshire. Walter was probably born in the late 1800s as the child was born in Hutton Le Hole, Yorkshire, 1927 and took his mother's maiden name. Her name was Dorothy and she never married. She was born in 1890 in Burnley, Lancashire and was a school teacher. She was very beautiful. Her family ostracised her and she put her son aged 2 in a children's home. Is this a dark secret in anyone's past? Interestingly, there may be a history of Type 1 diabetes in the family.
