Trying to find Howard

I'm searching for information on my grandfather, Percy William HOWARD's family. He was born in 1879 at Goosepool, Chertsey, Surrey and his father is recorded on the 1881 census as Hary Howard, birthplace West Bergholt, Essex, and his occupation was cattle dealer. Percy's mother's first name was Elvine. I think Hary's first name was probably Henry. If anyone knows of any Howards from West Bergholt, I would be most grateful to hear from them. I think the family members had a number of changes of occupation, which included cattle dealers, and butchers. Percy William HOWARD worked as a butcher (according to my grandmother, in his uncle's butcher's shop in Knaphill, Woking, Surrey), and then went into the Army. He fought in the Boer War, and other postings included Holyrood in Ireland, and Mhow, (near Lucknow?) in India. He was invalided out of the service shortly before the First World War, and later worked as a prison officer, at Feltham Young Offenders Institution, and at Wandsworth Prison. Either Hary Howard or his wife Elvine appear to have had some connection with Old Basing, Hampshire. I have a postcard addressed to my grandmother, who visited a place called Pyott's Hill, Old Basing, postmarked around 1910 - 1920. I hope the above rings a bell with somebody, and would love to hear from you.
