hello I am trying to trace my grandfathers side of the family, his name was james ward b. 1907 tipperary Ireland his fathers name was jack and he had sisters named bridget, kathleen and mary-ellen. he came to england in around 1926 and stayed with his sister mary-ellen, I think they started off in manchester but moved to london later on in the 1930,s mary-ellen went back to Ireland at the start of ww2 but grandad stayed, got married had mum and so on. he died in 1996. its a long shot I know, but you never know it might ring a bell with someone, or if someone knows how I can go about looking for irish relatives, it would be much appreciated. thanks deirdre |
