Trying to find O'Neill

My Gt Grandfather was one Joseph O'Neill born around 1842 in IRELAND. He came to England prior to the 1861 census and was occupied as a Tailor. His 1st wife was Mary O'Neill (nee O'Neill), they were married in LIVERPOOL in 1865. His father was Charles O'Neill also a Tailor, her Father was Patrick O'Neill a Lawyer. Joseph and Mary had a daughter Mary Ellen born 1866. At some point Mary died and Joseph then living in MANCHESTER married my Gt Grandmother Bridget Gilroy in 1873. Her father was Anthony Gilroy. They had 2 daughters Elizabeth and (my Grandmother) Catherine. Mary Ellen stayed in Liverpool with the STEELE family for several years. Has anyone ANY information about these O'Neill's please? Whereabouts in Ireland they were from? When did Mary die? What happened to Mary Ellen? |
