Looking for information on John Bourke who came to Sth.Aust. 1846 aboard the Canton from London via Plymouth, with his wife (name unknown) and children, Patrick, Alice, Johanna, Catherine and John Jnr. I have no idea if they were from London or Ireland but they settled in a strongly Irish section of Sth Aust. I am connected to Patrick who married in Aust. Mary Londergan or Landrigan. She was also on board the Canton and they married 3wks after arriving in Aust. Patrick & Mary's children were Ellen b.c1847, John b.c.1848, James b.c.1849, Margaret b.c.1851, Patrick b.c.1853, William b.1855, Mary b.1857 (she married John Farrelly in SA), Alice b. 1858 and Catherine b. 1859. Name is sometimes spelt Burke. Appreciate any contact - regards Sharon
