Looking for information on William GALLOP who jumped ship in Newfoundland circa 1775 and married a Mary Kerley, the daughter of Edward Kerley and sister of Thomas. There is also anotheer William Gallop of 1835 who was a representative of Newman and Co, He was a pupil of the Free Naval School at Greenwich and has connections to Dorset and Kent.
