We are trying to find anyone who knew Peggy Pauline Westray (Bennett) was born in the Nottingham area, her natural father was William Westray.Peggy Pauline Westray lived at 2 Garnet Street Nottingham when she was aged 5 to about 11 years with………….. and attended Blue Bell Hill Infant and Junior Schools. She appears to have change her name during the mid 1930’s to Peggy Pauline Bennett and may have been adopted. Documents show a William Bennett as her father. She is believed to have lived in the Thorneywood Mount area during her young teenage years. She went to Sycamore Secondary Girls School during this period. She was in Service in the Ruddington/ Bunny Area, as well as working on a farm in that area. She was a member of the Auxiliary Fire Service during the war until 1942 when she married. If you have any information we would be pleased to hear from you. Valerie Smith
