Member Since: January 2007 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi, I am trying to find the family of my maternal grandfather, William Monks. Billy (as he was known) was born (we think) in the Greater Manchester/Lancashire areas in 1896. His parents Thomas and Mary ran an ironmongers shop in the ealy 20th century in Oldham. William had brothers Thomas (Tom) and John (Jack) and two sisters (maybe 3), Alice and Polly. William had an accident at work when in his 40's and was totally blind from then until his death in 1982. He married Sarah Burtonwood in about 1918. Many thanks. Glennis
