Im searching for any info on Henry Wilson born in Ballyboley N Ireland in 1846 and his wife Catherine (nee) Morrison born in Grey Abbey N Ireland 1845. They moved to Co Durham (Shadforth Village) about 1880 where their daughter Margaret Ann Wilson was born ( my grandmother). They are on the 1881 census but not on 1891 census. Margaret Wilson married in N Ireland in1898 aged 17, so I presume they moved back there. Im unable to find any death records of either Henry or Catherine Wilson. Rumour has it that Catherine died in a fire and Margaret was brought up by relatives, so presumably Henry died first. My grandmother was very secretive about her family and refused to discuss it. As far as I know she was an only child (unusual in those days)! Maybe there is a skeleton in the cupboard. Any info appreciated |
