Trying to find Swindells

Hello I am trying to find out what happened to my maternal grandfather Joseph Swindells, he married Rose Hannah Moreton 1915 in Wolstanton, Staffordshire, they had 4 daughters, 2 died in infancy. Annie was born 1916 and my mother Phyllis born 1921. They were both placed into an orphanage, they thought 1926 when their mother died, have since found out their mother died 1929. where did Joseph go after that. My aunt Annie tried to locate him but was unsuccessful. She lived in Burslem and my mum came to Scotland after the war. Is there anyone out there with any information? Any help or info would be much appreciated. |
