GLADYS ROBERTS. My married name is Chaplin. I am trying to trace my grandmother, Mary Ann Lloyd, born 1870, and the only place of birth I have is Wales (on her Death Certificate -1916). She married my grandfather, James Glasson, in Grahamstown, SouthAfrica, about 1891, and lived and died in Kimberley, RSA. I understand her brother was DAVID or DUDLEY, her sisters were BEATRICE, c1872 married Arthur Field,; ADA c 1873 married Fred Cowling; BLANCHE, date unknown, married ?? Clarke, and JENNY or GINNEY,married Dai Roberts. (No relation to me). They were all living in South Africa in the 1930's. I would very much like to hear from anybody who knows anything about this family. |
