This is an entry I found in Bishop's Transcripts of the Merthyr Tydfil, Welsh Circuit of the Methodist Chapel, commencing 27 Aug 1826. THOMAS LLOYD (born 5 Nov 1833) son of ROBERT OWEN of Crichqwell, Parish of Crickhowell, County Brecon, MINISTER and SARAH, daughter of THOMAS and MARGARET LLOYD Christened 20 Jan 1834. My g-grandfather was Thomas Lloyd Evans, whose mother was Margaret Owen. She married William Evans. Somewhere in the family is a 'Grandmother Lloyd' of Merthyr Tydfil. This family has had me baffled for years. I'd be glad to have an opinion on: the likelihood of the above families being connected, and where to find the names of accredited researchers, as I am not in the UK. Thanks for your time and help, Miriam |
