As part of my ancestry discovery I have a part diary of GEORGE MARTIN of 73 Warwick Street, New Cross, Kent. As far as I can see from the the diary he lived in New Cross in 1873 - possibly a brother called William and a sister called Daisy. George Martin arrived in Durban South Africa on June the 2nd 1879 - Regiment Number 335 then left Durban for Pietermaritzburg. Contact me if this could possibly help you.
