Trying to find any details on my husband's dad TOMMY GRANT. His proper name was either THOMAS WILLIAM GRANT or WILLIAM THOMAS GRANT. He would have been BORN ABOUT 1920-1930 but I'm not sure where. In the late 1950s early 1960s he was living in the NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE area and got married to MARIE. On their wedding certificate he is shown to have been living in LIDGATE ROAD in PECKHAM but this may have been a temporary address or a relative's address. He is thought to have had relatives in Peckham at the time. In 1963 Tommy went to work in NEWPORT, WALES and shortly after he and MARIE divorced and my husband knows nothing further. TOMMY's job was some kind of ENGINEER, maybe a HEATING ENGINEER. The purpose of the search is to get some knowledge of his father and thus ancestral details. It is not to try and arrange a reunion, in fact it is thought that he passed away some time ago. Any help anyone could give in tracing who TOMMY GRANT was would be much appreciated. Thanks |
