THOMAS LLOYD EVANS was the son of WILLIAM EVANS (a farmer) and MARGARET OWEN. I believe he was one of 10 children and had a 'Grandmother Lloyd'. I think he was born about 1840 - not sure if he was born in Anglesey or Manchester. I found ( Bishop's Transcripts) a William and Margaret Evans, who married in 1821. They lived at Faddoglwyd in the Parish of Llanfaethlu in Anglesey. Their children were: Richard - 1822 Jane - 1824 Evan - 1826 William - 1829 Margaret - 1831 John - about 1836 Thomas - 1840 Eliza - 1843 - 1844 Thomas born 1840, married Catherine and had a daughter, CATHERINE BRODIARD EVANS in the 1861 census,. I can't find him with her in the 1871 census. My Thomas Lloyd Evans was married in 1871 in Bendigo, Australia. He had six children who grew to adulthood in Australia: my grandfather was the first son. He sailed on the 'Asia', a passenger ship, as second steward but worked in Australia as an engineer. If these fragments fit your family story, I'd love to hear from you. Miriam
