I am trying to find anyone who knows of a number of ladies who have the surname Davies and were either born in or lived in the Wallasey area of Merseyside circa 1945 - 1955. They are: Elizabeth Ellen Davies - she was also known as Betty and Thelma. She may also have used the surname of Etherington. She was born in 1921 in Wales and married young and had two children by her first husband before she was widowed. Her husband also had the surname of Davies and they had two children: Barbara and Raymond however Raymond was killed as a boy having been run over by a bus. Barbara Elizabeth Davies - born 1941 in Wales - however moved to Wallasey possibly in the mid 1940s after her father died. We know she was boarded out in 1951, where we do not know and she may or may not have returned to live with her mother who was Elizabeth Ellen Davies. Elizabeth Ellen Davies had another daughter who was born in Wallasey in 1949 she was called: Pamela Maureen Davies and was we believe illegitimate; we know she was living with her mother in June 1951 when another child was born. However she may have moved to Manchester with her mother when she married again in 1957. Elizabeth Ellen Davies had another daughter who was born in Wallasey in June 1951 she was called: Patricia Joan Davies - however she was placed for adoption in late 1951 and adopted in 1952. Elizabeth Ellen Davies married again in 1956 - she married Albert Edward May in Manchester and had a son called Brian Edward May who was born in April 1957 in Manchester. Both Elizabeth Ellen and her son Brian Edward May are now dead, however her daughter Patricia would really like to find her half-sisters Barbara and Pamela.
