A maternal gt grandmother of mine was Elizabeth CLAYDEN b C1850 who died in Dunedin NZ 30 July 1897. Shipping records say she & her husb George BRACKLEY were from MDX Eng & after finding a marriage which names her fr as Nathaniel, I located them on the 1871 census in Battersea. This indicates she was b in Bucks, however the only person I can locate with a fr Nathaniel, born C1850 is Mary Elizabeth, middle ch of Nathaniel & Catherine (HOWSE) CLAYDEN of Oving. After the birth of Mary's next sibling James in 1853 but before Henry b C1858, this family moved from Oving to Battersea, SRY. Hoping to find proof that my Elizabeth & Mary Elizabeth b Oving are one and the same. |
