Trying to find Wright

I have hit a brick wall with my mother's family - her father John Thomas Wright was married to Dorothy Ada Sawyer in Reading 1917 and he died in Tonbridge in 1966 - unfortunately i can't find any record of his birth! He and Dorothy had five children - Reginald (Jack) born 1917; Dorothy born 1919; Gerald born 1922; Gwendolen born 1928 and Daphne (my mum) born in 1933. the first child was born in Wandsworth (according to birth records) the rest were born in Sevenoaks. John Thomas Wright was a soldier in 1917 according to marriage certificate and his father, also John Thomas Wright was deceased, but had been a pipe layer. John Thomas Wright and Dorothy Ada divorced when my mum was about 5 years old (around 1938) her mum died a few years later and mum was brought up from the age of 11 in a children's home so has little information about her father. He got married again to Elsie. Please help - any information greatly appreciated as I am stuck |
