Many many thanks to all those people who responded to my request for help with Thomas Popham born 1841 , and Leyebourne-Pophams - within 24 hours I had 6 replies, some with complete census searches done, some with advise on other places to look. Aileen Hewat My greatgrandfather, Thomas Popham, married Eliza, also Popham. I have been able to trace her family back to 1800, but cannot find any relatives for him. He appears only in the 1901 census as follows:- Address 77 St Pauls Rd Civil Parish Newington Ecclesiastical Parish St Paul Parliamentary Borough or Division West Newington County Borough, Municipal Borough or Urban District Southwark Administrative County London Name Thomas Popham Relation to Head of Family Head Condition as to Marriage Married Age Last Birthday 60 Sex M Profession or Occupation Cooper Where Born London Westminster Any help would be appreciated
