Hi John,
I dont know if there is any relationship here but I have just found out that my mothers great-grandmothers Maiden name was Lindores. As this is not a common name I thought I would contact you to see if there is any connection. The name I have is Margaret Lindores who was born around 1853. She married James Anderson, A fisherman from Ayton in Berwick and had five children as far as I know. Could this be connected? Martin

Hi Martin,
This could possibly be a connection, I know my Andrew Lindores gave his pre-marital address as Upper Nesbit, Roxburgh, Roxburghshire, but I don't know where he was born or know of any siblings.
My apoligies for the delay in answering.
Regards John
