Hi there, It's a long shot, but I was hoping you could help me. My Gran, sadly died a few years ago, and it became known to my family that she was in fact adopted by a Charles and Elsie Turner in or around 1938. My father would truly love to know his family history, and as it is his 60th birthday this year I am attempting to research this for him. My Gran married my Grandad and became Jean Wall, although we believe her birth name was Kennedy and although she spent most of her life in Northfleet, Kent (along with her adopted sister Doreen Parsons) she continued married life in Ludlow, Shropshire.
