Hi....I am new to this., so please bare with me... I am trying to start a family tree and really to go back as far as possible...My Mother's family were mostly from Steyning and surrounding areas. My Grandmother was Alice Cowstick and I think she was the youngest of 8... Her Father was Samuel Cowstick and he was married to Emma Tidy-Dale in September in Thakeham Sussex in 1854. I can remember my Great Auntie Grace., although I was very young I've now found out [Thanks to help from message from this website] that there was Emma born 1858,George 1860,Albert 1864 sadly he passed away age 6yrs of age in 1871,Annie 1871, Harry 1873,Grace 1877 and my grandmother Alice in 1880...The Family lived in Brighton when I was a child.. My Great Grandmother Emma., was widowed when she was expecting my Grandmother..My Grand mother married Frank Fogarty whom was from Patching just on the outskirts of Brighton. Kind regards Janice Caminarides[Williams] from Surrey. p.s. I have tried to start the family tree...and would like to go Back to Emma Tidy-Dale's child hood and her parents and likewise with my Great Grandfather Samuel Cowstick...he passed awayin 1879..Thankyou for reading this
