I am seeking information on a son, born to Mary Robertson ,nee Gunn. Mary was a nurse and was born in Peterhead, Scotland in about 1920? She subsequently married my uncle Albert (Bert) Fairclough, in Liverpool, in about 1942-3? and had two children, Dillas Joan (deceased) born in Peterhead ,Scotland, 1943, and, Freddie, who was born in Liverpool, or Southport, Lancashire, about 1946? The family lived in Speke, Liverpool, and both parents worked at the Dunlop factory. Mary was joined by her son from her previous marriage , and they all emigrated to Fremantle, Western Australia , in the 1950s. We lost touch with the family after my Uncle Berts death.in the 1970s I have recently made contact with Dillas's daughter Donna who lives in Melbourne. We would love to find out about her mothers half brother, and have heard that he may have returned to England and join the Guards. Any information would be great Thanks Doreen |
