HiMy name is Bonnie and I am trying to find info about my husbands father. His name is/was John George McLaughlin dont know his birth but he married a Margaret/Maggie Dalton in 1939/40 they had 2 children, Patricia born Nov 1940 and John born Dec 1942 Maggie died in Feb 1944 they lived in Cleveland St near Hamilton Square Woodside Ferry. After Maggies death the children were put into seperate orphanages and lost touch, Pat was in until 18yrs. John was fostered by a family named Dooley until he joined the army at 17yrs. Pat knew she had a brother so when she came out of the orphanage she set about finding him, and she met him for the first time when he was 16yrs. their Father remarried and had other children, 3 girls and possibly a boy John looked him up but was told that his other family knew nothing about him or his sister. his father then moved to Woodchurch estate which is near Landigan Park cemetery which is where their mother is buried. Would like to know if anyone has any info Pat unfortunately died in 2005 so my husband whos name is also John George McLaughlin would like to learn anything he can about his heritage
