Member Since: March 2007 Posts: 8 Send Message	I am looking for my half-sister Joan Timpson. Her mother was Ellen Ruth (or Ruth Ellen) Hopkins who married my father Alfred John Timpson in 1925 in Battersea, South London. Joan was an ambulance driver in 1944/45 and married a US GI Norman Charles Woodruff of US Bomber Command stationed in Norfolk and Suffolk in 1944/45. Joan lived with her parents in Battersea, South London where she was also married. I believe she went to America with her husband Norman. There may also be a sister of Joan called Miriam whose mother was also Ellen Ruth Hopkins (or Ruth Ellen).
