HELP ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I AM LOOKING FOR MY LATE GRANDADS (ROY VINCENT) STEP FATHER JOHN WILLIAM VINCENT, BORN IN BIRMINGHAM IN THE 1879 I KNOW THAT AT THE AGE OF 22 HE WAS ON THE H.M.S. CAMBRIDGE, AS A PRIVATE IN THE ROYAL MARINES I KNOW THAT FROM 1914-1917 HE WAS A ABLE SEAMAN ON THE ENDURANCE WITH SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON STUCK IN THE ANTARCTIC, AFTER HE RETURNED HOME TO HULL HE WORKED IN THE PORTS OF GRIMSBY AND FLEETWOOD, IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR HE WAS IN THE ROYAL NAVEL RESERVE AND WAS GIVEN COMMAND OF A ARMED TRAWLER H.M. TRAWLER ALFREDIAN, HE DIED OF PHEUMONIA IN A NAVY HOSPITAL GRIMSBY ON SUNDAY 19TH JAN 1941 AT THE AGE OF 61 I KNOW NOTHING OF HIS PARENTS OR BROTHERS OR SISTERS, APART FROM ONE BROTHER MAY HAVE BE THE MAYOR OF BOLTON PLEASE HELP thanks to every one for there help so far but i still need your help |
