Looking for Mary Fahy unmarried when she gave birth to my father John in 1938 in Kent but could not care for him so he was later adopted. I think she lived in a mother and baby home before his birth and recent research has led me to find out about the Magdelene Laundries etc and how women in her predicament may have ended up. As I think the Catholic church had a hand in the affair I'm wondering if this was her fate. I don't know where to look next tho so any ideas please contact me. Thankyou, Claire
