I am trying to find a family of Leahy's that lived in West Ham, London around the 1901 census. As this is the last census to date, I haven't been able to trace their whereabouts. Alexander Leahy b: 1858 Youghal, Galway, Ireland (Mariner/Sailor) Married: Margaret (Possibly Byers) b: 1864 Hackney, London Children(All born in West Ham, London) Violet b: 1886 Mary AE b: 1890 Amelia C b: 1893 Sophia b:1894 Catherine b: 1897 It is Catherine that I'm interested in finding information about as I believe she is the person who had a baby girl on the 17th May 1915. The baby was then adopted by a couple called Clara & Will Morley. Catherine was living in Woolwich, London at the time of the birth and we have a letter from Catherine assigning the baby over to the couple. The baby was renamed Dorothy May and it is her son who would be interested in finding information about his birth grandmother and her family. If you are able to help in locating any relatives, it would be most appreciated.
