Trying to find Lock/James

I am trying to locate anything that can give me information about my grandfather. He married my grandmother, Lillian Heron Partington in 1916 and had two sons. We knew nothing about him and have been searching in the name Lock. I have now found out that his real name was Alfred Leslie James, born to Rosa James in 1891. Rosa James married Frank Maurice Lock in 1895 and Alfred took on the surname of Frank, but not legally as adoption didn't come in until 1926. After the first world war he just seemed to just dissappear. I am wondering if after the war he went back to the name of James. Has anybody any information about the name Alfred Leslie James after 1919? |
