I am trying to trace the birth record of my grandmother Alice Brown born (according to her marriage cert) 1866 in Cambridge - father william Brown a fishmonger - think she had a sister Eliza - Alice found on 1891 census with husband Albert Rumble but cannot find her on any previous census -real mystery - she had two sons Alfred and Albert - Alfred lived in Hitchin Beds and had two children James and Janet - cousins I have never met - cannot locate her birth in 1860's at all. Lived in Holborn with my grandfather - died in 1926 - seen on death records -sh0wn as 60 then. Gill Brown (coincidently my married name) |
