G'Day all,
Just to kep you up to date (and nudge this thread), We have found Joseph F.J.'s Death and also his Wife's. (Ledwidge/Gibbs thread) But it seems no children.

G'Day Ann,
Joseph Ferdinand J(ordan) Ledwidge was B. 1899 i n Pancras.Middlesex.
He Married 1929 in Brentford Midx. to Winifred R Gibbs and there he dissapears, there is no mention of children on FBMD,or looking through each page for 10 years on FMP Births. No sign of a death for either of them or a remarriage. Curious but as yet not totally frustratng , I'm reserving that for Oliver.

Yes I have looked at Family search and a few Irish sites , the best was finding Mary. I guess I will have to just keep trying . I am sure I will break through it eventually .
The amazing thing is expanding your family far wider than you would have thought. My line goes through William. John had a son Joseph Ferdinand who married but I haven't found if they had any children to carry on the name and Line.

My goodness Anne you have been busy, you have found even more than I ha d. I had only concentrated on the Ledwidges In the London Area as this was where they moved from Ireland to.
I did find a distant cousin who was also researching the family but he had less info than I had regarding the Ledwidge's.
Thank you so much for your input it is rewarding to see that there are people willing to help out in research other than their own .

G'Day Anne, I have been checking this regularly, on this site, but this is the first reply. For which I thank you, alas as far as I can tell none of these have a link back to Oliver .
William Ledwidge ,aka Wilhelm Ludwig as he was known as an Opera singer was born in Dublin but as far as I can see is no relation.
I , with some help from another forum, Found Mary Ledwidge's Baptism ,late1859 St Andrews church Dublin but of sign of her Brother John B c1861, or of Oliver and Marys Marriage looking 1855 to 1861 (just to be sure.
I have them in England from c1863 , in BDM and Census and have followed most of the familys as they married, had Children and Died, Including Great Aunts who only Died in 1980s, that as a family we knew nothing about.

But going back is very difficult as its Ireland and I am in Australia.
I will keep trying
