Looking for any information on the Marsdens, Chorley Lancashire. My grandfather was Thomas Marsden(1897) & he was one of 8 (Alexander, Ellen, Grace, Alice, Septimus, Sarah Anne, James). Their father was Septimus (c1859) & mother Ellen. I also had an Uncle Jack (John Edward) who was one of 4 children (Samuel, Thomas & Alice). They were my grandfather's 1st cousins. They emigrated to Australia when young. My Great Uncle Septimus enlisted in the Army in WWI & was killed. My Uncle Jack married my Aunty Sally (Septimus Snr.'s daughter). My Uncle Sam married Annie Lee & they had at least one daughter I know of (Jean Marsden). My Aunt Alice married Edward Flanders & they had at least 5 children (Francis, Nellie, Tommy, Theodore(Teddy) & Edie. I am trying to trace my Uncle Jack's parents (his father must have been my grandfather's brother), they also to my knowledge had a sister her married name was Coates, don't know her first name. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Sue |
