Hi Susan,
Cadwalader is found on the 1901 census but it could be a dodgy transcription as there is a dark line through the writing!! Following more research I think that John became a nephew by marriage to my GGGF Jenkin following his second marriage but have yet to confirm this.
Are you connected to this family? And do you have any further info as I am at my wits end trying to trace Jenkin!!!!
Regards
Amanda

Hi, Trying to find a John Davies (c1854 Nantcwnlle) who I believe was my GGF Jenkin Davies brother. He married as a widower in 1901 to Mary Lewis(Connections with Llanon and Pennant) I now think I have found his first family on the census. 1881 John Davies 27 mason Margaret 28 Evan 5 Peter 3 Avarina 1 1891 John Davies 37 Margaret 38 Avarina 11 Stephen 8 Mary 4 John 3 1901 Elizabeth Davies 53 s Head Anne Davies 55 s sister John Davies 50 widr brother mason Thomas Davies 24 neph Margaret Davies 11 neice Elinor Davies 9 neice Cadwalader Davies 5 neph In 1901 the address is given as Felincoed, Nantcwnlle,Cardiganshire. Next door I believe I have found John Davies' father (Also John Davies c1820) He is living at a house called Penrhiw which older family members can remember visiting. Within walking distance of Llangeitho where my GGP Jenkin and Catherine Davies lived. If any of these names ring any bells I'd love to hear from you. Many yhanks Amanda
