Hi,
I also have Pigg and Pigford family coming from County Durham in my tree. My 3x Great Grandad was Adam Hunter Pigg (listed also as Pigford), born c1819 in Penshaw. His father was John Pigg 1781 from Gateshead, who was the son of Anthony Pigg 1744 from Gateshead.
Anyone out there searching for the same family?
Regards, Kathryn.
