Hello I am looking for a John Joseph Sheeran, who was my grandfather born in Crieve Ireland then some how ended up in South Africa where he worked for the prison service, Married Mercia O Gorman. Have you come accross any of this side of the Sheeran Family????

I am trying to find information on JOSEPH SHEERAN born 1835 in Tullamore, Kings County ( now County Offaly) Ireland. I have information about his life over here in England - he was in the army and fought in the Crimea and East Indies.I have info on his wife and children, and that he eventually settled in Kent. I would like to know when he arrived in England, and if anyone knows of any siblings, or the name of his parents. His first daughter was born in Dublin. (They must have gone back to Ireland for a time) His marriage to Emily Jones (Born in England) was in Scotland and then again in Weymouth ( don't know why). I guess he travelled around due to his army postings. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Nikki Sheeran
