Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 6 Send Message	If you are actually talking about Fred born in Mexbro in 1869 then his father was William Charles Thirkell born 1845 in Marton le Moor and his mother was Emma Hammond born 1843 in Adwick on Dearne, Mexbro. Other children of this marriage were Harry b 1868, Lucy Ann b 1872 and Emma Elizabeth b 1874 - all born in Mexbro. William and Emma were married in the Doncaster registration district in the June quarter of 1867.

Member Since: November 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi, I am trying to find my great grandfather's family, his name was Fred Thirkell (1896), married Gladys May Dudhill (my great grandmother) I belive his mother to have been Emma Hammond, father Harry Thirkell, from Mexborough in south yorks, but i want to find anyone that can confirm this! If you have any info of the family, please get in touch as i'm stuck at this point, thanks! Nicola
