sorry for the delay, not sure if any connection. have found out he was a road surveyor in the 40's as with yourself all very sketchy. not a lot to go on and lots of brick walls |

Hi. My greatgrandfather was Richard Trestrail Stephens. He was oringinally fron cornwall (Feock). He also at one time lived in Newport, at 78 Emlyn St, in 1901. My grandfathers name was William Trestrail Stephens. He died in 1941 and is buried in Newport. I know there were brothers and sisters, one called Ena I think. Details at this time are pretty sketchy. I don't know if this will be of any help to either of us. Here's trying! Jane. |

I am trying to find any relatives of my grandfathers. His name is William Aubrey Stephens and he was/is from Wales. He had a relationship with my grandmother (Alice Miller) during the war and my mother (Sheila Miller) was born in 1945 in Yorkshire. He offered to marry my Grandmother and she turned him down so he returned to Wales (Newport Gwent) He supported my grandmother until my mother left school. He was married before he met my grandmother and had 2 sons. Did he marry again? Has my mother any more step brothers and sisters? Where are the 2 step brothers she had. I would love to hear from any relations we might have. Also it would be interesting to see if any history of cleft palate in the family. My mother, brother and daughter all born with cleft palate. |
