Your message of Jan 2007 refers, we have a Thomas Hicks b 1816 m to Charlotte (no surname) in our tree. Their son James William Hicks b.1857 married Elizabeth Bacon, had 5 sons with her - Charles B, b.1887, James b 1880 m. Annie, Thomas, b.1882, Aubrey b. 1884 and Sidney b.1890. He then married Florence Swann, and had 4 children with her - Doris, Harold, Percy and Ethel. John George was possibly a brother of James? If you think this may be the same family, please get in touch. I have only just started researching the Hicks family, and it has not been easy to get started. i am trying to find any information on the hicks family located in london, i have john george hicks b1850 married ot a maryann rice-wade, and their children i come down on thejohn george hicks/edith lillian bentley line of the family but if anyone has information on the decendants of the other children in the hicks family i would be gratfull if you would contact me. The other children are: frederick, alice, george, william and lousia all born between 1875 -1888.
